eCargo bike rental comes to Newport!

Yes, that’s right. You can now rent a eCargo bike from Newport Cycle Hub.

We believe that eCargo bikes are the future of urban transportation. Which is why we’re on a mission to make it as easy as possible to try them from the units we run.

Next time up on the list, is the Newport Cycle Hub, and we’ve got an Urban Arrow for you. This bike is great for shop runs, recycling centre (and - hint hint - if you’re a local business looking to avoid traffic, this has got your name on it).

Booking Options

We’ve got plenty of options to suit both short & long journeys.

• 0-2 hours - £3.00
  
  

• 2-3 hours - £4.50
  
  

• 3-4 hours - £6.00
  
  

• 4+ hours / Full day - £10.00

  
  

To book, simply sign up to the Spokesafe app and press Rentals (or head over here). Our team will manually check the availability of the bike & will come back to you as quickly as possible.

We're asking everyone to complete a short in-person induction before using the bike. This will help you get to grips with the slightly different handling, and make sure your tip-top and ready to get going. Booking an induction is easy, and can be done via the link below (note they'll initially take place on Monday afternoons at the Newport Cycle Hub).

Please note we take a £50.00 deposit with each booking. This will be automatically returned back to you 4 days after booking. If you are going to return after your slot, please let us know straight away so we can alert the next member. Members who return after their booking slot has finished, and who harm the experience for others, will be fined and removed from accessing the service.
